1st Person Biography:
I’m a Lead Automation Engineer at Promenade Group in Santa Monica, CA where I work to help accelerate our achievement of shippable quality. I’m also President of the Association for Software Testing (AST) a global non-profit dedicated to advancing the quality of Software Testing. Focusing primarily on testing web applications, I’ve been helping to improve software quality since 2006 for a wide range of companies including startups.
The last few years I’ve given more public talks and workshops as a way to become a better teacher and to challenge myself. Before I joined the Board of Directors for the AST I was a Lead Instructor for the AST-BBST courses. I’ve also co-taught BBST along side Cem Kaner and been a peer advisor to James Bach’s Rapid Testing Intensive online courses. Prior to that experience I was a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer which is a fancy way to say I taught people how to scuba dive.
I write on occasion and otherwise try to contribute to the testing community. Also created and maintain an open source list of software testing conferences and workshops.
